Snowing from 11am onward, winds between 5-10mph S/SE, gusts up to 20. 5-7 inches of new snow in last 24 hours.

Snowpack

Recent snow was light, low density and seemed unaffected by wind loading. Slide broke about 40-60cm on the January facet interface that has been consistently propagating

Avalanche

The slide propagated about 50ft skiers left of the trigger point. Occurred on a rollover transitioning from ~30 DEGREES to 40+degrees. 2ft crown in tight trees. Skier grabbed a stand of trees and was not carried. The slide ran over the reggae traverse and down the lower reggae slide path. Elevation: 11,300 Slope angle: 40 degrees R3/D2 Aspect: E Type: SS
