Weather
Generally clear conditions with light westerly winds. Warming during our exercise with adequate insolation to cause moistening of the snow surface by early afternoon.
Snowpack
66cm of total HS, with 32cm overlying the "Gobbler Layer" storm snow from 20181123. This layer remains the layer of concern. See attached SnowPilot profile. Test Results consistent withe some weakness in this layer, and structural indicies also highlight it as an area of concern. Snow pack is generally DF in the upper layers over Facets, over DH. The gobbler layer is demarcated by a jump in crystal size from 0.5mm over 2mm facets, and a corresponding change in hardness from 1F to 4F respectively (in this area). We had CTM (12) SC at 32cm, ECTN22 at 32cm, PST results of 25/100 Arr, and 32/100 SF both on the 32cm gobbler interface from 20181123.
