Beautiful clear crisp day on the Pass.

Snowpack

Snow pack is faceted throughout on north and east slopes below treeline. Boot pen is to ground, ski pen 20cm. In the Crest Bowl start zone, Novembers snow is now 2-4mm depth hoar reactive in CT23, ECTN23 and 25.Thanksgiving storm snow and December snow are discernible layers, differing in hardness between 4F and F. These layers do not react in snowpit tests. A ~4F surface mfc is decomposing. This crust fails when cutting column tests.
