Snowpack

4" new on Joe Wright (I think). Quick pit showed about 18" on top of pre-storm cycle crust.

Avalanche

Witnessed a skier-triggered soft slab on NE aspect about 11,000'. Avalanche occurred on the south end of South Diamond Peak in some thin glades. Avalanche was about 100-150' feet across and 12 - 18" deep. It ran about an inch above the crust layer mentioned in 'Snowpack'. Skier was carried about 20 - 30' before self arresting. No injuries. Lost a ski for about 30 min but found it. Avalanche occurred at about 1230.
