Avalanche

US Basin. N/NE @ 12400. HS-AM-R1-D1. Our group observed a Sled trigger this small slide while crossing the slope. Per CAIC forecast "Recent snowfall and wind drifting have built thick slabs above various of old snow layers. It will be easier for you to trigger a slab avalanche on steep, northeast, and east-facing slopes near and above treeline with cohesive slabs of snow." This observation shows the potential and danger in this zone.
