Weather

Sunny and warm. Moderate to strong winds in teh morning, with light winds in the afternoon. Lots of blowing snow in the morning in the valleys, very little blowing snow at the ridgelines could be observed (likely because there was not any left to transport).

Snowpack

Found 120-140cm snowpack NTL, with persistent slab (basal facets) still observable at the base of the snowpack. One test result was CT22 (SC) at 20cm above the ground (130cm total depth).

Avalanche

2 small (D1) wind slabs in the same couloir, north facing, across the valley from us. Estimated 6" to 12" deep, 20-30feet wide, 30-50ft tall. Estimated timing was either yesterday (1/28) or this morning, given the amount of blowing snow.
