We noticed significant wind loading towards the top of the ridge and while angle was low decided to rip skins lower as powder was better lower. Winds came from S all day. Skiing quality was all time but we chose to ski a benched ridge and stayed away from anything steep and open for fear of triggering storm layer. I skied a small convexity to see and got the top 5-10cm to run a bit.

We did a couple tests low down on the shoulder and got a resistant planar on tap 29. The layer appeared to be the decomposing crust that is a known PWL. It appears as a melt crust with facets on top.
