Dug at pit at ~1,600 m on SW shoulder of Black Tusk in dense trees. 195 cm total snowpack depth. Nov 12th raincrust was 160 cm down. About 25 cm of light (fist) powder fell Friday night / Saturday morning at TL, ski pen was knee deep or deeper and trailbreaking difficult. Snow density generally increasing with depth. Compression test results showed a series of nonplanar fractures within the upper meter of snowpack, @ 55 cm down (comp easy 3) 30 cm down (Comp easy 10), 60 cm (Comp mod 16), 85 and 90 cm (Comp hard 24). Unfortunately never made it past dense trees today but I imagine some folk got some great turns in elsewhere
