Fresh pow but no visibility :( Previous storm snow had stiffened on ridge features and we had several widespread whumpfs when skinning on this wind slab. This wind slab was buried by ~30 cm of fresh snow and didn't appear to be on all aspects (as noted by David's group too). Lots of variability out there in Fraser Chutes as encountered 10 cm deep snow on rock ridges, 100 cm deep snow in other places and unfrozen creeks.
