Sugar Bowl

Quick report

Quick trip in to Sugar Bowl today. 0 degrees at the road has settled the snowpack and all creek crossings are open - we had to walk over a few but it was easy. 4 cm of new snow in the last 24 hours. The snowpack is well consolidated for being only 50 cm deep, and travel was pretty good (but rough) to get up into the bowl. Once in the bowl, the ski quality was pretty good with dry snow found above 2200 m. Snow pack feels strong with no significant weak layers observed.
