Wet and heavy snow up around Black Tusk. Very wet snow falling in the parking lot around 8:30am and 6:00pm. Put our skins on at around 1180m although there were still a few patchy spots above that until about 1400m. About -1C at the Taylor Meadows hut at 12pm, snowing up to 1cm/hour. Light trail breaking to do on the trail to Black Tusk/Panorama, but the skin track from last weekend was still traceable. Winds were light at the hut. At 1850m winds were light gusting to moderate from the SW. HS about 130, approx 30cm HST over a fairly solid crust. On a few steep rolls we saw soft slab properties, about 10-15cm deep, some shooting cracks up to a meter, pretty resistant to sliding. No results from ski cutting rolls.
