Climbed the first 2 pitches in Guinness Gully. Once we got to the base of the 3rd pitch a large loose dry avi sloughed down the right half of the climb. It possibly had the potential to knock of a climber, and likely started from snow falling out of a tree, gathering more loose snow and cascading. We retreated from there and rappelled out. Surface snow was deep and not consolidated at all.
