Snowpack

Eastern aspect around 11600. Approx. 3" of soft new snow above a 2" finger hard slab. Faceted to the ground below the slab.

Avalanche

Avalanche occurred on a ESE rollover below treeline around 11400. The avalanche initially fractured on a 30 degree slope and propagated around a bowl feature approx 200 feet. Avalanche ran approx 150 vertical feet and the debris was deep enough to bury a person.
