Weather

Clear skies, gusty SW winds, and temps pushing above freezing. Not as much blowing snow as yesterday, but still some moderate transport above TL.

Snowpack

On a north aspect near treeline above Sister 3 Hs varied from 30-60cm. I dug in an area favored by wind loading and found a recently formed slab sitting on top of about 15cm of basal facets. Propagating ECT results at the slab/basal facet interface. Northeast aspects below treeline had 30-45cm of faceted snow. Southeast aspects near treeline were cooked down to 30cm or so, with evidence of warming (either moist snow or a thin melt-freeze crust) on the snow surface.
