OVC, S-1 though the day (observed to 1430), light and variable winds, below freezing.

Snowpack

HN-15-20cm | BTL-E, HS 138cm, CTH SC down 80cm (x3) on moist basal facets | BTL-N, HS 170cm, CTH SC down 140cm on dry basal facets | BTL-NNW, HS 155, CTM SC down 80cm (x3) on basal facets | BTL- N, HS 400cm (!), CTN | BTL-SSE, HS 80cm CTE down 40cm on rounding facets | Moist throughout snowpack on E and S, BTL. We were surprised to see the sudden results on basal weak layers in areas of shallower snowpack.

Avalanche

Several superficial dry loose avalanches BTL on steep (45+) NE slopes and near steep rock out crops. New snow only. D1.
