Weather

Clear skies early gave way to mostly cloudy skies and scattered snow showers by mid-day. Clouds and showers moved in and out throughout the afternoon.

Snowpack

Spring melt-freeze conditions. Afternoon cloudiness and the accompanying drop in temperatures seems to be keeping any serious avalanche activity at bay.

Avalanche

Observed recent avalanche activity has been caused by small cornice falls triggering last week's new snow. Some of these reached D2 in size where long vertical fall entrained wet snow lower in the paths.
