Weather

Mostly sunny. Cool morning especially with breezes at ridgetop.

Snowpack

We were only out for a few hours in the morning but we did not see any signs of instability. Most snow surfaces were frozen solid. There is still dry snow on north-facing slopes but only a few inches on top of crust. There are deeper drifted areas but no cracking or signs that slabs are reactive. Lots of dust on the surface especially sunny slopes where the most recent snow has melted exposing the dust layer.

Avalanche

A few small Loose Wet avalanches observed in the distance up Halfmoon Creek.
