Weather

Some blowing snow observed off of higher peaks in the area, however there isn't much snow that remains available for transport.

Snowpack

Traveled on E to SE to N aspects near and below treeline. Average Hs was around 45cm, but varied from bare ground to over a meter in drifted locations. A melt-freeze crust was observed 20cm above the ground in most areas I traveled, though on N aspects below treeline it is already starting to facet away. SE aspects had another melt-freeze crust higher in the snowpack with faceted grains sandwiched between it and the lower crust. See snow pit profile for more detail.
