Windy and sunny. North facing

Snowpack

A mixture or windblown and very soft on top of moderate crust. Where spindrift had come out of the couloirs it was a bit firmer, better for skinning and booting. However this sluffed snow had consolidated into a soft slab

Avalanche

While booting halfway up the couloir we broke a very small(~1m^2) 15cm deep slab
