Weather

At 0930; 13" of new snow with 2.0" of water content. High density new snow, temperatures in the 20s, and strong SW winds with gusts in the 40s. Snow level was about 8500', but accumulations there were minimal. At 1430, an additional 2" had accumulated with 0.35" of water content. Light snow continued at Pass level and similar modest new snow amounts are expected.

Snowpack

Minimal signs of instability. Some minor cracking in wind loaded northeasterly terrain near treeline. No signs of instability in steep northerly terrain below treeline. Plenty of wind scouring on windward terrain near treeline.
