Hot and clear. Generally light winds with intermittent light gusts from the West.
Snowpack
Northeast facing slopes near-treeline are fairly deep. Where I dug the snowdepth was 170cms. Hard sudden results in a small column test down 90cms on 1mm facets that were starting to round at this location. On the West facing slopes off the ridge the surface was moist and 0F at 1230. Based on temperatures at 20cms below the surface, free water had not penetrated that far into the snowpack. A long column test produced an easy to moderate propagating result down 30cms on 1mm facets above a melt-freeze crust (ECTP12 down 30cm on 1mm FC)
Avalanche
One small slab avalanche observed from a long distance away off Highlands Ridge South past the K-Chutes. Appeared to be triggered by a small loose wet running into shallow rocky terrain.
