Weather

Overcast most of the day until end and no wind transport during the day. Did look like the burst of wind this morning moved snow around to north aspects in alpine. Sun around 2 came out and warmed below treeline East aspects with easy snowballs made and more slab formation.

Snowpack

Cracking on East aspects with the new storm snow not bonding with slick old surfaces. better bonding on northerly below treeline. Hand pits on NE aspects at treeline we’re very reactive and planer. Avoided slopes over 35 degrees and anything at and above treeline.

Avalanche

Few small D1 avalanches seen in easterly wooded aspects but anything 30-35 degrees did not slide, just cracked naturally last night. It seemed cobra (sultan) went d1 or 2, but not as much action as I would have expected.
