Avalanche

Weather

Hot! Back at the trailhead it was 60+ degrees F. We topped out at around 12,000 feet and it was baking up there too. Not sure on exact temp where we were.

Snowpack

We didn't dig a pit. The main concern was the recent foot or so of snow that the area got in the last week. The recent days had baked it pretty well hence all of the wet loose slides.

Avalanche

We observed many avalanches. There were a lot off of Sharkstooth, lots on the other side of the basin, and we observed a view coming off of Taylor Peak.
