Weather

Mostly cloudy, showers were off and on, S-1 at best. Winds dramatically calmed and temperatures continued to cool.

Snowpack

Shallow but reliable stability in comparison to slopes that have any north aspect to them. 6-7" layer of new dense and wind pressed surface conditions. 12/14- old snow interface may be a layer of concern later. Likely not though. Fairly homogenous from 42cm down. Could not discern 12/7 layer on this W/SW aspect. Had some but limited cracking and collapsing on flats and north facing banks on the ridge approach.
