Weather

Sunny with W/NW winds ideal for snow transport. At treeline, winds were generally 10-15 mph with gusts/swirls in the 20-25 mph range. I did not observe any snow plumes on high alpine ridges.

Snowpack

Snowpack below treeline was faceted top-to-bottom. As I got closer to treeline, there were subtle crust layers at various depths between the layers of facets. Snow depth @ 11,500' ranged between 65-75 cm, with a stout wind buff resting above weak snow.
