Weather

Winds were pretty well behaved. We could hear the gusts and see some snow moving above treeline though. The wind loading was pretty light and isolated to a few peaks. A mix of sun and clouds Clear in the morning with more clouds in the afternoon.

Snowpack

A skiff of a new snow on a mostly consolidated and supportable snowpack. Below treeline all the recent snow was either melted down or settled into just an inch of snow. This new snow became moist quickly. On open slopes near treeline, the dust layer was on the surface. There wasn't much new snow or recent storm snow. North-facing slopes sheltered from the wind are still dry without any crusts.

Avalanche

A couple small loose wet avalanches observed above treeline out of rocky areas. Some large wet avalanches observed from the April 3 cycle.
