4-6 inches fresh snow on firm spring bed surface.
Avalanche
Cornice stomping and ski cuts at top of slope failed to produce any pockets of snow to release, but a mid slope ~ 32° to 35° rollover released while being skied, resulting in a shallow wind slab, 4-6 inches thick. Skier slab was small (100ft wide, ran 200 vertical) and confined to that terrain features, but did cause a sympathetic release of larger adjacent slope (the two slides were discontinuous), resulting in a much wider (400-500 wide) pocket that Ran ~500 vertical feet in steeper terrain. Skier was able to ski off right hand margin of slide.
