Weather

Sunny and mild spring day. Temperatures below freezing above 12k and windy near ridgeline.

Snowpack

The snowpack was refrozen at all elevations this morning. Around 11:00 am moderate wind and below freezing temperatures kept the snow surface firm in the alpine even on South facing slopes. Lower elevations showed signs of softening by noon. No signs of wet avalanche hazard with an early start and early finish.

Avalanche

Impressive Wet Slab cycle in the area over the past week. Avalanches recorded were likely a few days old.
