Snowpack
There was 40-65 cm of snow where we travelled today. The snow at all elevations was able to support travel up and down on skis. In our pit, we noted the start of some basal facets, and a tiny wind crust that was much larger on other parts of the slope. Pit tests resulted in one collapse in the basal facets at CT24. On a wind loaded feature above tree line we experienced one collapse. As we ascended above treeline (above the pit), we noted an increasing slab thickness.
