Cold and blustery above 10200’. SSW wind was transporting available snow and loading exposed ridge lines.

Snowpack

Cornice shed recent loading by an approaching husky (see pic) @ 10800’. New snow depths highly variable and hard to track due to recent wind transport, up to a foot in sheltered areas above 10500’

I was able to break a small wind slab with a hard ski cut on a NE facing slope at 10800’. R1D1
