Snowpack

On a S aspect above treeline, the snowpack consisted of relatively hard layers of rounds sandwiched between melt-freeze crusts, all sitting over a basal snowpack of rounding facets and depth hoar. The snowpack on an E aspect above treeline consists of a slab sitting on top of facets/rounding facets. ECTP results 88cm above the ground. See snow pit profiles for more detail.
