Weather

Cold and Clear. Little wind. Little evidence of wind transport in Pearl Basin. Both the East and West faces below 12,500 were skiing well. 4-6 inches of powder on top of a supportable slab.

Avalanche

Image 1 is large avalanche on WNW face of Star Peak. Looks to be a few days old, at least. Image 2 is avalanche on SE face of subpeak of Malamute dropping into Pearl Pass/Montezuma Junction
