Snowpack

Snow cover has not lost significant volume over the last few weeks of warm weather. Surface snow is a melt freeze crust capped with near surface facets that are persisting despite the warm temperatures. Cloud cover is helping to preserve these facets. Surface snow is supportable to skis, but boots step through easily. Snow beneath the surface crust is dry.Rocks are still well covered in start zones. Lower pitches close to the road are melting out.
