Weather

Thin BKN cloud cover with midday temps at 11,500' up to 32º on north facing terrain . Light NW winds.

Snowpack

Surface forms ranged from SH in the a.m. to MF on southerly tilts that were moist down 10cm where observed. 5cm+ of additional settlement from Tuesday's 30cm was still low density good skiing on a supportable mid-pack slab. We found a stiffer 1F mid-pack slab structure here, on the same weak basal facet foundation. See pit for details and test results.

Avalanche

We observed several mid-storm (2/6) loose and a few poorly defined soft slabs to D1.5 in steep terrain on N thru NE aspects near and ATL. A few WL off of steep, shallow rocky terrain features near and ATL on sunny aspects. Loose debri piles up to D1 on the road cut from most alleys in the Prospect Trees that also likely ran mid-storm. No signs of instability today aside from WL on sunny aspects.
