Bluebird day with light to moderate northwest winds.
Snowpack
Ledges: Pronounced layer of depth hoar at the ground with a cohesive slab above. Several crust and facet layers. Propagating results on ECT. See profile for details on structure and tests. Brooklyns: Recent southwest winds have formed hard slabs across the Brooklyns area. The snow in the rocky start zones is thinner and warmer than in the track. Several loose snow slides had released from rocky areas over the weekend. All stopped well above the road. ECT tests did not propagate, CT 14 SP on a thin layer of facets above an old crust. However, Brooklyns that have a southerly twist may become a problem with first big warm-up. See profile for details on structure and tests.

Several loose snow slides ran over the weekend in the 550 corridor. None reached the highway.
