Sunny day with high thin clouds. Light ridgeline winds.
Snowpack
The snowpack on southerly approach was weak BTL, ski pen ranged from 20-30cm. Sunnier aspects were heating up and snow surface was warm to almost wet. Large collapses observed BTL to NTL failing on weak facets near the ground.
Avalanche
Kicked off some small, soft cornice and triggered a small R1-D1 avalanche in the new wind load just below ridgeline. Soft wind slab was 5-10cm deep.
