Weather

Clear skies and relatively cool temperatures marked the morning on the westside of Independence Pass. Westerly winds increased through the day and transport was visible in the alpine from about 1030 until I left at 1330. Cloud cover was also increasing from the west.

Avalanche

Several small to large wet slab avalanches occured as CDOT trundled snow off Waterhole Grade to the slopes below. There were a few small loose wet avalanches out of east-facing terrain around cliffs and rocks as well
