AM tour. Done before noon. Sky was overcast with moderate southwest wind
Snowpack
Dust is now visible on the surface on many sunny and low elevations slopes. A melt-freeze crust has formed on sunny slopes. Southwest wind lightly moved snow on ridgelines, but not effectively lee slopes loading. There was likely not much snow moving today because windward slopes are crusty and lack dry snow. Wind and colder temperatures kept those curst from softening by mid morning on any slopes. The snow on north slopes remains cold and dry. Warming triggered a small Wet Loose avalanche cycle on sunny and rocky slopes. The snow surface was textured on northerly exposed slopes and was variable in stiffness. No cracking or collapsing observed.
