Weather

WARM. Mostly clear and calm.

Snowpack

Did not get above 10,000 feet. Snowpack at these lower elevations averaged around 110cm deep. Snow surface in all but the most shaded areas was moist and sticky. A supportable mid-pack slabs rests on rounding facets near the ground. Observed wind drifting along the alpine ridges from a distance. It looked like good speeds for efficient slab development and loading.

Avalanche

Numerous Loose Wet avalanches up to D2 in size ran out of steep rocky, south-facing, terrain starting around 1:30PM. Also observed two small Wet Slab avalanches on similar aspects. One large avalanche triggered by wind loading on high alpine northeast face of Treasure Mountain; looked fresh enough to occurred within the pervious 24 hours.
