Mild, (mid-40’s) increasing clouds, light breeze....below TL.
Snowpack
Generally supportable on the days tour but got onto a SE aspect near treeline 20* slope and found some trap door/collapsible snow. Failing under a MF crust that is ~ 12” deep.
Avalanche
Some quite old Wet Loose activity. Southeast aspects of Mt Helen were surprisingly burned out on the whole. Bummer. Too early for that. Looks like SE Helen had seen a minor wet slide cycle a couple weeks ago or so. About a half dozen or so WLNR2’s
