Snowpack

Extremely thin and weak in this area. Barely 100cm NTL on north facing. Unsupportable skiing on most sheltered slopes N and E.

Avalanche

Persistent slab triggered naturally by cornice fall or wind loading breaking near the ground. Probably occurred February 23 or 24. Smaller slide looker’s left did not step down. Couldn’t spot fracture line on that one.
