Travelled on mellow slopes and lower elevation terrain. Exploratory day off of the toll booth parking. Alder just starting to get covered, 40-60 HST on top of last weeks CR. PS 15 Experienced frequent widespread wumphing between 1200-1350m with shooting cracks most likely associated with BSH. Skiied a few steep short low risk test slopes BTL, causing BSH to fail, however failure didn't trigger a slab avalanche. We feel it was attributed to terrain roughness (below threshold HS in areas we skiied). CTM 13 SP down 60 CTE 9 SP down 60
