Guten ski ins Neues Jahr

Had a good adventure to “ski into the new year” from black prince basin, up and down purple knob, then up the ridge skiers right of purple knob. The traverse from black prince to hero’s knob area was very wind affected and was not good skiing. Everything we hit below tree line was powder and was lots of fun. Saw several dry loose releases from black prince, and one good sized cloud of snow that plumed over the rock garden as we were touring up. Toward the top of the rock garden we experienced some significant wind affect and decided to turn back and head up through the trees. Best skiing we had was in the trees, but we saw some folk shredding great turns on purple knob area.
