We rode Frazer Chutes (above the border parking lot) yesterday. Weather was -10 which rose to about -7 with a 500m elevation gain from the parking lot. Extreme wind and falling snow had created a 15 - 20 cm layer of an extremely reactive accumulated snow. This layer would propagate 15 - 20 foot shooting cracks observed x 3. We dug a pit down to ground no notable layers present except for the depth hoar layer on ground which was noted on previous reports. The convexity above Frazer Chute tree area (above border parking lot) was completely wind scoured with bare ground seen across the entire convexity. Snow depth is variable from 20 cm in wind scoured areas to 150 cm in treed areas.
