Deep van isle pow at Allan Brooks today. Recent storm snow has settled into a soft slab and made for some heavier turns but still fun pow skiing! Breaking trail was not as fun with ski pen ranging from 30-60cm. Snowing S1 at the beginning of the day and the end of the day with S-1 in between. We were sheltered from wind in the trees but somewhat frequent wind induced tree bombing told us it was likely gusting moderate S/SW at ridgetop. Temps hovered around -6. No avy obs as vis was limited. No signs of instability where we skied, the new snow was bonding well on this particular NE aspect. Just us and one other group of awesome gents out today.
