Weather

3/6: Rain showers in valley mid-afternoon. Snow line > 9000'. Snow showers (s-1) mid-late afternoon. Accompanied by variable and gusty winds. HN12 1". Overnight, some clearing early before snow and wind returned after ~ midnight. HN24 @ 8 AM 6-7" at 10500'. Winds light. About 4" new snow at trailhead, moist.

Snowpack

Old snow surface refroze overnight, making for ~6" new snow on hard crust. New snow loose, cohesionless, dry. A few spots where valley winds appeared to have dappled the surface. So-so visibility up high; no plumes or obvious signs of wind transport.

Avalanche

Not a comprehensive survey, but did see some sluffs in the new snow.
