Weather
Moderate to strong solar radiation w/ cool temps. Light blowing snow from NW wind on only a few of the highest ridgetops. Winds and blowing snow were significantly less than 1/27. thin clouds slightly increasing through the day.
Snowpack
Overall deep, supportive snowpack. Surfaces stayed dry and soft even on sunny slopes. Lots of wind effect and firm textured snow visible at upper elevations.
Avalanche
Saw many point releases from 1/27 on sunny E-S-W slopes. All D1. None of note from 1/28. Saw a couple notable older slab avalanches.
