Weather
25 Degrees/ Patchy clouds-Mostly Clear N/NE/E 10'500 aprox.
Snowpack
8-12" new cold snow in the upper bowl. More blown in on the N faces. Surfy and fast. A little over boot top. N/NE/E Aspect 10'500-11'200 New Cornice build up on N/NE facing slopes
Avalanche
North facing second tube along standard uptrack. Standard offender. Large new cornice build up overhanging slope. Simple intentional ski stomp dropped a skier sized plug of the cornice. Very quickly triggered a very reactive fast moving soft slab 12" deep. Did not break full wall to wall . All new storm snow resting on a buried wind slab. Ran down to bench and stopped but left a nice deposit tongue at the bottom. Width-30'-40' Depth-12"-14" Distance:200'-300' Also saw old slides on EAST aspect on the Alley's and Mud. Look to have run day prior. Looked like natural activity rather then intentional cornice drops.
