Scattered, high clouds most of the day. Some sticky snow due to fairly intense solar.
Snowpack
Hasty pit around 9100ft on east aspect showed 3cm on new surface snow despite snowing most of the previous day. New snow was on a 2-5cm thick sun crust that was suprisingly supportive for skis and boards. Buried surface hoar layer was apparent about 30cms down and with a quick CT and ECT was showing failure and propagation potential (CTM and ECTP 21). Fracture character was resistant planar. Expected to see more wet loose activity with such a warm day and exposed rocks but only saw limited rollerballs on steep, due south aspects.
