Weather

BKN skies trending towards OVC with high thin clouds. Moderate SW winds NTL with light blowing snow. At ridge-tops above 12K, winds where strong from the SW and steadily transporting snow onto northerly slopes.

Snowpack

Shallow and variable snowpack near and above TL on East side of Leadville. Got some cracking in a lee starting zone on the north side of Mt. Prospect at 12,2000. 15 cm 1F- slab cracked in upper snpx; crack traveled about 3 meters. Lots of transport today onto northerly aspects in Mosquito range. Westerly aspects ATL are mostly bare.
